Freek Hakvoort - Biodegradable phone case

Freek Hakvoort aka Blue fingertips, is a Dutch artist who lives near Utrecht, the Netherlands.

In Freek's spare time he loves to create line illustrations and drawings by using ballpoint pens. Next to that, his passions are surfing and creating videos. He started drawing as a child and continued consistently throughout his life. After high school, he decided to study graphic design in a city called Zwolle.

During his two hour daily commute, he spent his time (very wisely) practicing his skills by drawing his fellow commuters. The last year of his study he began an internship at a creative agency where he later ended up working. After some years of working for this company, he decided to start for himself as a video editor whilst also creating illustrations for companies.

The design Freek Hakvoort created for Tucknee is named Glide. He tells us that "This illustration is based on a man who truly enjoys his freedom. He glides through life on his skateboard with a single fin under his arm." Freek finds his inspiration through numerous interests such as surfing and nature, but also from different artists and illustrators.
