Alimo - Biodegradable iPhone case

Sean Kesterson, better known as ‘Alimo' is an artist from Portland who is currently living in San Francisco. Tucknee got in contact with Sean a little while ago and right away we fell in love with his work.

Alimo's minimalistic bold lines, vibrant colours and curvy pop designs will make you feel happy just by looking at them. He has been making art ever since he was a young boy living in Oregon which is where he started drawing with crayons - both on paper and on walls! Later in high school, he began creating ceramics and videography. After that, he decided to take it more seriously and go to study art in college, which is also where he started Alimo.

When we started chatting with Sean, we realised that he had already been a fan of Tucknee for a little while. Quickly after that first conversation, we decided that it would be awesome to collaborate and create a case together - especially after realising we have quite the same vision on life! Some of Alimo's biggest inspiration comes from going outside and chasing waves with his mates. At Tucknee, this is exactly where we find our inspiration and drive as well. We love to travel, go on skate and surf trips, and generally having fun with friends.

Next to getting inspired by travels, the San Francisco based artist finds his inspiration in daily life. Everywhere he goes he brings his sketchbook, so when inspiration appears he is always ready to capture that moment. When he's ready to make a new art piece he takes out his sketchbook fills it with great ideas.

We quickly agreed that the illustration 'Cruise with us' would be the perfect fit for our collab. The bigger picture of this case is to go out on an adventure. As Sean says himself, "if you’re sitting at home scrolling through Instagram, may as well get inspired by looking at the backside of your phone with this illustration.". We hope to inspire you with this cover to put down your phone for a minute and just go out and explore!
